Floyd Widdison

Mountain Green

Floyd Max Widdison, 78, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Sep. 1, 2018 at his home in Mountain Green, Utah. Floyd was born Sep. 2, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, to Vera and Max Widdison. He was the oldest of six children. He attended Morgan High School and was active in school theater productions, and football. During the 1950s he served four years in the U.S. Air Force, spending time in Japan and Biloxi Mississippi. After returning home from the Air Force, he served an LDS mission in Toronto, Canada, where President Thomas Monson was his mission president. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service.

Floyd was a passionate fan of BYU sports. He also loved nature, animals, and music, and he had an extensive collection of vinyl records.

He was welcoming to everyone he met and possessed a wonderful wit. He also had the talent for helping family and friends navigate challenging life situations.

Most of all he loved his family. Floyd is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wilde Widdison, three children (Marc, Travis, and Shayna Brockbank), and nine grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Tue., Sep. 4, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 45 W 200 N Morgan, UT 84050. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Sep. 5 at the South Morgan Cemetery. Prior to the graveside service, there will be a short viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
