Bruce Frost

August 29, 1947 — January 14, 2022

Bruce E. Frost, age 74, was reunited with the love of his life, Linda, surrounded by loving family on the evening of January 14, 2022. Bruce was born to Jeanne Ellis and Chauncey West Frost on August 29, 1947. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1965 and completed Sheet Metal Mechanic School at Weber State College in 1966.

Bruce married his high school sweetheart, Linda, on October 6, 1966, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they spent 48 wonderful years together. They had four children and many unforgettable adventures together. Although he did not want to leave his loving family, and we did not want him to leave us, we all know Bruce and Linda are in heaven together having an incredible reunion.

Bruce was an incredibly hard worker and dedicated 37 years of his life working for Hill AFB. He had the opportunity to work in Okinawa, Japan for four years on the Kadena AFB and brought back a ton of memorabilia. Bruce also loved to work on and rebuild trucks and pass his knowledge on to anyone that would listen. He also loved to make his awesome beer-men. Bruce wanted to help anyone and everyone that ever asked for his help. He was willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Bruce was an amazingly genuine, thoughtful, and giving man until the very end.

Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting, fishing, camping and four wheeling in his Razor. He also loved to go down to Brenda’s house in Marysvale to camp and go four wheeling with family. Bruce loved to hunt for arrowheads with his family and has hundreds of arrowheads he has collected throughout his life. Over the past several years, Bruce and Todd spent every weekend together doing anything from going four wheeling, fishing, and hunting to watching movies and hanging out at Todd’s house.

He absolutely loved to be with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as often as he possibly could. There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Bruce was and how much he will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have met him. We love you so much Grandpa Bruce. You will be greatly missed!

Bruce is survived by his children: Terri Frost, Brenda (Taylor) Lay, Darrin Frost (Nicole Nall), Todd (Nikki) Frost, and his siblings: Leslie (Gary - Deceased) Slate, Sandy (Mike) Pittman and Buck Frost (Brenda Watkins). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanne and C.W., his loving wife, Linda, and his great-grandchild, Daxson.

A special thank you to Summit Hospice and Nurse Stacey for their amazing care for Bruce in his final months. A special thank you to Dr. Gray during Bruce’s fight with Prostate Cancer throughout the past four years. And a very special thank you to Todd Frost and Brenda Lay for helping Bruce with his doctor’s appointments and cancer treatments throughout the past several years and Todd, Brenda, and Nikki for caring for Bruce in his final months.
