Amy Marie (Hone) Anderson

February 27, 1968 ~ January 25, 2021 (age 52)

Obituary

On Monday, January 25,2021, at the young age of 52, our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Amy Marie, unexpectedly passed away from an undiagnosed health condition, surrounded by her loving family.

Amy was born on February 27, 1968, in Payson, Utah. She was the fourth child of six, born to Marsha and Ted Hone. Her childhood was spent trying to learn everything she could about the world around her. And when her little brother Cody came along, the two of them would spend their time getting into trouble together and/or fighting between themselves over something. Amy usually ended up the winner, with Cody a close second, and usually both of them needed a band-aid.

She attended Hillcrest High school and graduated in 1986. In the late summer of 1989, Amy was set up on a blind date, and met the man who would change her life forever. And on February 2, 1990, they were married. They were then sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on February 2, 1991.

She was always greatly admired for her passion for life and her cleverly sarcastic sense-of-humor, always making our family parties more fun and eventful. She loved gardening and working in her yard, and had a great talent for creating a stunning display of plants welcoming you into their home. Her home was always open to anyone, whether for a short stay or a long one, and she always made sure you felt a part of their family. She also enjoyed Genealogy, and has been attending Roots Tech every year with her sister-in-law, Kristi, and her loving family.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had a deep love for the gospel and held several callings during her time here on this earth. Her favorite calling was being the Ward Camp Director for the young women, because this took her out into nature, which has always been something she greatly relished. She, and her family, also took pleasure in providing service, and often putting their own projects aside to help others.

She leaves behind her eternal companion of 31 years, G. Trent Anderson, her children: Joshua Craig, Ashlynn Marie, Kymbelle Allison, and Stockton Trent. Her father Ted Hone. Her siblings: Marla (Elliott) Hampshire; Troy (Sherry) Hone; Cody (Kristi) Hone; and Zane Hone. And many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Predeceased by her mother, Marsha Jenkins Hone and her sister, Luann Hone.
