Vera Gleason Pace

COALVILLE - Vera Gleason Pace, 88, passed away July 18, 2007 in West Jordan, Utah at the home of her son.

She was born June 18, 1919 in Park City, Utah, a daughter of John Chase Gleason and Minnie Jane Lewis.

On July 28, 1947, she married Reed DeVar Pace in the Logan Temple. He died January 15, 2002.

Vera was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. She and her husband, Reed sang at numerous funerals and supported all activities in the community. She served a mission in the Western States Mission and later served a mission with her husband to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Always happy to be a homemaker, family was number one to Vera. She was reliable to always have M&Ms, "Grandma's Homemade Cookies," Sunday fried chicken and Texas Cake.

Surviving are five sons and a daughter: Randy (Marybeth) of West Jordan; Ross (Ramona) of Hoytsville; Margie (Kenny) of Shelley, Idaho; Kelly (Sandra) of Kaysville; Kent (Denise) of Hoytsville; Mike (Lillian) of Coalville. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Hoytsville Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Hoytsville Cemetery.
