Thelma West

MORGAN - Thelma Brooks West passed away the morning of Saturday, January 5, 2013 in her home in Morgan, Utah.
She was born August 31, 1913 in Hoystville Utah to William Earl Brooks and Nettie Lavina Crittenden. She married Walter Winfred West in 1933. He died in 1995. She is survived by daughter Betty Jeane Wilson of California and Dwayne Winfred West of Morgan. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Walt and Thelma owned a service station and garage in Ogden Utah. She pumped gas, washed windshields, and then later worked at Hill Air Force Base as a clerk. They moved to Morgan in 1976. Thelma loved her family and was selfless in giving her time and resources. She enjoyed crocheting, and playing the organ.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North in Morgan Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment, Hoytsville Cemetery.
