Terrie (Blue) Lee Howard Carlson, age 68, our devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 16, 2022, at Ogden Regional Medical Center in Washington Terrace, Utah. She was born at St. Marks Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT to Glen Ray Howard and Eva Lorraine Marshall on April 2, 1954. Raised in North Salt Lake City, UT, Terrie attended Adelaide Elementary, South Davis Jr. High, and Viewmont High Schools.
She was very industrious and while attending high school, she worked two jobs to help support her mother and family. She realized a longtime dream in 1985 by attending the International Air Academy in Vancouver, Washington and becoming a Reservation Agent. Terrie met Donald R. Carlson at Quicks Inn in North Salt Lake on Friday the 13th in April, 1984, while waiting for a bus to go to a job interview in Salt Lake City, UT. They got talking and Terrie missed the bus. They went out to dinner after the missed bus and talked until 4:00 a.m. They were married Sept. 6, 1986, in Lake Tahoe, NV, honeymooning at Zephyr Cove, NV with their first dog/child Hank.
They started out life together in a 5th wheel trailer and lived in Salt Lake City, UT, Reno, NV, Bountiful, UT, and Midway, UT. They bought a home in Morgan, UT in 1990, and settled there. Terrie was adventurous and enjoyed motorcycle hill climbing behind Donald hanging on for dear life, boating, water skiing, fishing, and camping. They enjoyed a wonderful life together for nearly 36 years. On April 29, 2022, Terrie suffered a brain aneurysm and hemorrhagic stroke and passed away 18 days later from complications, freeing her from years of pain and suffering from other ailments.
She is preceded in death by her Father Glen Ray; Mother Eva Lorraine; sister Judy; and dog/children Hank, Silver, Chonga, Harley, Breeze, JakJak, and Hugo. She is survived by her husband Donald; sisters Becky Lynch, Kingman, AZ; Dixie Gagon, Morgan, UT; children: Shana, Mindy (Richard) Plumlee , Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren: Katlynn, Shelby, Cortlynn Plumlee, Isaac Plumlee, Zoey Plumlee and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday May 23, 2022 at 12 p.m. at South Morgan Cemetery (355 South State Street) A visitation will be held prior from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary (45 West 200 North, Morgan UT).
