Ted Mortenson

August 8, 1939 — March 27, 2013

MORGAN - Ted Mortenson, 73, passed away in the arms of his soul mate Wednesday afternoon Mar. 27, 2013 after a heroic battle after spinal surgery.

He was born August 8, 1939 in Morgan, Utah son of Glen and Darlene Mortenson. He grew up in Porterville and attend Morgan High were he was the manager of FFA.

Married to Audrey Bindrup for 21 years then later divorced. They had 2 daughters. He later married Maxine Nye in August 1988 until his passing in 2013.

He had 2 stepdaughters, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Ted worked for Union Pacific Rail Road before going to work for Sperry Rand a�" Unisys Corp. from 1967 until August 1994 as a program manager.

He enjoyed his friends and family, golfing, gambling, which he loved and continued to attend rodeos until he was unable to go.

His #1 love was bull riding and went to the National Finals in Oklahoma 1978. He was also part of the Bar-T Rodeo.

He grew up ranching with his father Glenn and also did small town rodeos. He always attends the National Finals in Las Vegas.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Maxine, Trina Mortenson daughter, Dylan Mortenson grandson, Gayle Ehrlick (Randy) stepdaughter, Amanda, Stacy and Parker grandkids, Andrea Schoenfeld (Duane) stepdaughter Mikaila, Ethan, Katie, Laura grandkids.

He was proceed in death by his father Glen Mortenson.

Viewing service to be held at the Porterville Church, 2700 So Morgan Valley Drive, Monday, April 1 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 2 1013 at 11 a.m. also at the Porterville Church.

Interment will be held at the South Morgan Cemetery.
