Sterling Potter, 83, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2017 at his home in Morgan. He was born on January 28, 1934 in Coalville, Utah the son of Grayson and Amy (Clark) Potter.
Sterling married the love of his life, JoAnn Rasmussen, on his birthday in 1955. He retired from Ideal Cement (Holcim) after 40 years of service. He loved little children, and they loved him. He was always ready for a good laugh. His quiet and quick wit will be missed by all who knew him. Sterling had a special gift for raising and caring for animals, and did this for most of his life. This legacy lives on through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sterling is survived by his wife of 62 years, their daughter, Carrie (Randy) Cox, and son, Randy (Nancy) Potter, and one brother Rex (Shirl) Potter. His six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren will also forever remember him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Essie and Wanda; and brothers, Kenneth, Lew, and Roy
A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, UT, Saturday, September 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at North Morgan Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
