Sonny Brandt

MORGAN a�" Claren James "Sonny" Brandt, 73, died June 25, 2012, at his home in Ogden surrounded by his family.

He was born Nov. 15, 1938 in Tridell, Utah to James C. Brandt and Dorothy Melinda Anderson. He was raised in Croydon by Alva and Zelpha Rust. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1958.

Sonny served an LDS mission to Texas. He married his sweet heart Judy Lynn Peterson on May 24, 1963 in the Logan Temple. He loved making wood projects, especially for his kids and grandkids. He has worked many places including Clarks Feed and Seed, the Gale Vernon Mink Ranch, P.J. Dairy, Great Lakes Timber and Lyle's Oil tool.

He was involved in many Church positions such as a scout master and 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. He also coached baseball and basketball.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Judy, of North Ogden; daughter, Dianna (Jessie) Espinoza of Morgan, son, Darren (Amy) of Riverdale; daughters, Mary (Mike) Durfey of Farr West, Tina Brandt of Ogden. He has six grandsons: Jason (Chelsi) Hollobaugh, Tyler (Michelle) Hollobaugh, CJ Brandt, Garret Durfey, Braden Durfey, James Brandt; granddaughters: Sheena Hollobaugh, Shaylee Durfey, Kimberly Brandt, Kyley Brandt, Kinley Jo Brandt; also six great-grandchildren: Athan, Cameron, Colby, Landon, Kicks, Alexis; sisters: Mary (Bert) Cadwalader, Lydia Rust, Jennie Edrington, Lila Bristol, Elouise Ingleby and Eva Brandt; brothers: Allen (Valerie) Rust, Ellis Rust and Ronald Edrington. Brad (Annette) Peterson, Penny (Jim) Taylor, Donise (John) Peterson, Heidi (Marshall) Webb.

Sonny was preceded in death by his son, Eric; daughter, Margo Gayle; brother, Eldreth; sisters: Lola Edrington, Lula Jones, Anna Boren, Clareen Hemphill; brother-in-laws: Ray, Larry, Bob, and Kirk.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Morgan Rock Church. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan and Friday, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at the North Morgan Cemetery
