Sharon Elizabeth Falk Dawson, age 74, reunited with her husband and our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Ogden, UT after an incredibly brave battle with cancer. Sharon died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born in Seattle, WA on February 17, 1943 to Bennhard Carl and Alyce Lallathin Falk. She soon moved to Star Valley, WY before settling in Ogden, UT. Sharon proudly attended Bonneville High School where she was in the first graduating class in 1961.
Sharon began her 30 year career with Hill Air Force Base in the motor pool/transportation area. After retirement, Sharon donated much of her time volunteering for Intermountain Health Care at McKay-Dee Hospital.
Sharon met her eternal love at the age of 13. She married Bud Delmer Dawson on April 26, 1966. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Sharon and Bud were the loving parents of three children: Michael Gray (Tana) Dawson of Layton, UT; Steven Bud (Joyce) Dawson of Camas, WA; and Michelle Elizabeth (Brian) Niebrugge of South Ogden, UT.
Sharon is survived by her three children and their families which include nine grandchildren: Zak, Kajay, Tobin (Nate), Samantha, Shadd, Adam, Jake (Kyla), Matthew (Sophie), and Jayme (Kyle) and three great grandchildren: Spencer, Noah, and AJ, all whom she loved without measure.
In addition to her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, Sharon is survived by her brother Roger (Rosanne) Falk and many other loved ones including nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.
Sharon had a huge heart that was evident by her caring and giving nature. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and they loved spending time with her. Sharon enjoyed traveling with Bud in the RV, especially to their property in Arizona during the cold Utah winters. Sharon had an amazing smile that lit up any room she entered and warmed the hearts of those around her. She was loved by many, but especially by her husband, kids and grandkids.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
A memorial open house will be held on Saturday, March 11 between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Crestwood LDS church located at 5735 Crestwood Dr., Ogden. Sharon’s interment will take place at the Henefer Cemetery at 1 p.m. located in Henefer, UT.
