Patricia Ann Miller Bird

January 20, 1941 — June 11, 2025

Morgan

Patricia Ann Miller Bird was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. She was surrounded by friends and family.

Born Patricia Ann Miller on January 20th, 1941, in Sterling, Idaho, Pat was the eldest daughter of James Miller and Sarah Cunningham. Much of her childhood was spent in Mississippi with younger sisters Linda, Carol and Joyce. “Best friends”, she called them and she loved reuniting with them in Mississippi this past December.

She loved to garden and bowl with her friends, passing her passions on to her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren loved learning to cook at her knee and will carry the lessons and secrets from her throughout their lives.

Pat met the love of her life, Steven Gerald Bird at Holy Cross Hospital and married him on March 25th, 1966. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple on March 25, 1989. Together, they raised four children: Steven, Jr. (Brenda), TammiJo (Clay) Dillree, Russell (DeJon), and Michelle (Adam) Hunt. Over their fifty years of marriage, they welcomed sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven, parents James and Sarah, sister Linda Yates, son Russell, son-in-law Clay Dillree, grandson Eric and great-granddaughter Elizah.

Never one to shy away from the right thing to do, Pat taught her family love and kindness with the help of a sharp tongue. If she had a catchphrase, it would be “I’m gon’ slap you!” She was infinitely strong, stubborn, and cherished dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.

The family is incredibly grateful for the 9 years they got with her after Steven’s death in 2016, though Pat would probably disagree. Known to say the first thing she’d do is slap him for leaving her, we are glad they are finally reunited.
