Nell Creager

Our sweet mother, Nell Creager, age 92, passed away on August 7, 2018, in Morgan, Utah, USA.  She was born on August 13, 1925, in Lidcombe, New South Wales, Australia, to Walter Nash and Ellen Dolan.  Her mother passed away on August 17, 1925, four days after Nell’s birth.  Her grandmother Julia Nash and her father’s sisters cared for Nell during her early years.  She later returned to her father’s home to join him and her stepmother Edith Nash.  They were all pioneers in the early years of the Mormon Church in Australia.

In 1950, Nell left Australia to marry an American missionary who had served two years in the Sydney area. Nell married John Sidney Creager on April 26, 1950, in the Cardston Alberta Temple in Canada. They came to Morgan, Utah, and lived the rest of their lives there.  Nell loved her family, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  She was beautiful, kind, and always put others first. She was a talented seamstress and had a beautiful singing voice.  She is survived by her six children:  Ann (Rod) Taggart, Morgan; Dick (Susan) Creager, Chicago, Illinois; Janette (Mark) Bischoff, Ogden; Lynn (Mark) Tenney, Morgan; Sid (Peggy) Creager, Morgan; Brooke (Randy) Lusetti, Reno, Nevada.  She also has 19 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings: Walter (Vera) Nash, Janet Nash, Ethel (Frank) Parton, William (Netta) Nash, John “Jack” (Jean) Nash, stepsister Rita (Croyle) Innis and brother-in-law Robert Allen.  Her half-sister Ruth Allen survives her.  All are from New South Wales, Australia.

A viewing will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Walker Mortuary, 45 W. 200 N. Morgan, Utah.  The funeral will be Monday, August 13, 2018, in the LDS Rock Church, 10 W. Young Street.  There will also be a viewing from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the church, with services beginning at 12 PM.  Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery immediately following the services.
