Matthew "Jake" Woolsey

Matthew Jacob Woolsey returned home to his loving Father in Heaven on December 10, 2021. We were lucky to be blessed with the best 19 years with him. He was a hardworking, funny, quiet, humble, loving and extremely loyal, son, brother, friend and cousin. Jake loved challenges and doing hard things. He was fiercely independent and always wanted to do things on his and in his own way. Jake’s sense of humor would light up the whole room, which was surprising because he was so quiet. Jake had an enormous heart and always saw the best in others. Jake graduated from Corner Canyon High School and was super proud of his 4.0 in his last semester. He treasured his friends and the time he spent there.

Jake had a wide range of hobbies, from cow puncher, wrestling, dirt biking, Star Wars and Legos. He loved the outdoors except when it was too cold.

Jake was a Super Puncher for the Lazy V,L Cattle Company. He also worked with his dad and his brother Heston putting up steel buildings. Jake was always willing to help and had a talent for working with livestock.

Jake was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jake is survived by his loving parents Levi and Kellie Woolsey, Huntsville, Utah; his brother Heston, and his side kick and brother Payden; his sister Bethanie (Colton) Nelson; and his best friend & sister Kaitlin; grandparents Scott and Jewell Woolsey, Robert and Corinne Memmott. He is preceded by his grandma, Kathleen Memmott and his cousin Wil Pentz.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 16 at 11 am at the Huntsville South Ward Chapel (277 South 7400 East, Huntsville, UT), A viewing will be held at the church prior to services from 9 to 10:45 am

Interment at the Croydon Cemetery.
