Lynn Mickelsen

July 4, 1935 — May 15, 2012

Fred Lynn Mickelsen, 76 years old, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2012.

He was born to Fred and Bernice Mickelsen in Salina, Utah on July 4, 1935. He was the youngest of four children. He attended school in Salina and graduated from Central Utah Vocational School as an Industrial Electrician.

He married his Eternal companion, Colleen Muzzell, on November 4, 1954 in the Manti Temple. They had three daughters; Vicki Lynn (deceased), Crystal Ann, and Fawnete.

Lynn was employed by Hill Air Force Base for 36 years. He was a member of the Morgan City Council for over 20 years; was employed by Morgan City as the Public Works Director, and performed many other civic duties.

He also served the people of Morgan County as an all around handy-man for over 50 years.

Lynn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which he held many positions including serving in two Bishoprics.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 57 years Colleen; children Crystal Spackman, Fawnete (Dallas) Hunt; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Rock Church in Morgan, 10 W. Young St. Viewing will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 W. 200 N., Morgan, UT and on Saturday at the Rock Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the members of the community for all the love and support they have received during this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Primary Children's Medical Center.
