Loretta Mae Mischke

Born November 22, 1937, in Waubun, Minnesota to Mary Evelyn Bullene Mischke and Alfred Albert Mischke.

Loretta lived in Castle Rock, Utah when Alfred and Mary moved west with Union Pacific Railroad, and later in Henefer, Utah for most of her life. In 1997, she followed her mother, Mary, to live at The Terrace at Mount Ogden. Loretta and Janice were the closest of sisters and Janices family were fortunate to spend a great deal of time with Loretta.

Loretta lived the fullest life she could. We are grateful to have so many memories with her to cherish from her 89 years of life. She loved being active. Her favorite things to do included taking the bus to Wendover to play nickel slots at The Red Garter, dressing up for trick or treating each Halloween, dancing, opening gifts, coloring pictures, getting her nails painted, and she especially loved bingo, when she was on fire, she couldn’t get enough of it. Holidays were especially important to her, and Chinese food on Christmas eve, before opening presents, was so much fun with her.

Our memories of Loretta are countless, as we grew up living alongside her. Loretta was involved in all of our family activities and always a big part of our lives. Growing up next door to her, we shared many, many days with her. She was so loved and we will miss her beautiful, unconditional love in return.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11 am at the Henefer Cemetery.
