Lee Morgan

March 27, 1932 — March 4, 2013

MORGAN a�" Lee Preston Morgan, 80 years old, died peacefully in his home on Monday, March 4, 2013 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He returned to his heavenly home to be with his Heavenly Father, Savior and loved ones. His family and the gospel of Jesus Christ was his greatest joy. He was born March 27, 1932 to Ruby Lucille Burbank Smith and Curtis Pilling Morgan.

He married Colleen Jensen on July 5, 1951 in the Logan Temple. They were married for 62 years. They grew in love to truly become one in every way.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Colleen, two sisters, Arla Morgan, Della Morgan, and one brother, Arthur Ray Jr. (Vickie) Smith. He and Colleen have five children, Gloria (Dale) Lindley; Denice Orton, Brent (Sandy) Morgan, Pam (Daryl) Westbroek; and Lorrie (Corey) Preece. They have 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of the Morgan 3rd Ward. Lee was a High Priest and held many callings during his life and was a faithful home teacher.

He and Colleen served as temple workers in the Ogden Temple for 13 years. They also served an inner-city mission in Ogden.

Other than his family Lee had three great loves; the temple, genealogy, and gardening. He researched tens of thousands of names for which temple work was completed. He had the greenest thumb around! His is known by family and friends for his beautiful flower and vegetable gardens.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the Old Rock Church, 10 W Young Street, Morgan, UT. Friends may visit before the funeral from 11:30 a.m. a�" 12:30 p.m. at the church.

Interment will be at the South Morgan City Cemetery.
