Kenneth Judd

January 14, 1924 — May 7, 2018

Kenneth Fred Judd, 94, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018.

Ken was born January 14, 1924 in Hoytsville, Utah to Frank Melvin and Sarah Edna Judd.  He grew up in a large farm family who developed close bonds of support after their father passed away at a young age.

Ken enlisted in the Navy during World War II.  He loved his country and was very patriotic.  He insisted on a family flag raising ceremony every July 4th, before breakfast!  And he made sure all his family had an American flag and flew it.

He was always a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  After the war Ken served a mission in the North Central States Mission from 1946 to 1948.  On August 26, 1955 he married Elaine North in the Salt Lake Temple.  During their 60 years together they served with dedication and compassion in many callings.  This included missions to Bristol, England, Charleston, West Virginia and many years of service in the Ogden Temple.

Ken is survived by a sister, Dorothy Blonquist, a brother (in-law) Dean North, children Matthew K. (Laurette) Judd, Karin (Jim) Larsen, Lane N. Judd, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May12, 2018 at the Mountain Green Ward, 5378 W Old Hwy Rd, Mountain Green, UT.  The family will meet with friends before the funeral beginning at 9:30 am.  Interment will be in the Mountain Green Cemetery.

Special thanks for the tender loving care of his hospice nurse, Donette Hurst and all the staff of Inspiration Hospice and Fairfield Village.
