Kathleen Ovard

HENEFER a�" Kathleen Durrant Ovard our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home in Henefer, Utah.

She was born on November 5, 1925 in Morgan to Leland (Lee) Durrant and Celeste Dearden Durrant. Kathleen graduated from Morgan High School and later attended Weber State College.

She married her eternal companion, Carl Thomas Ovard, on August 28, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of six children.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in the Ogden Temple and loved doing genealogy. She served a mission with her husband in the Columbus Ohio Mission.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Randy (Becky) Henefer; Elaine (Lane) Bountiful; Jeffrey (Susan) Henefer; Wendy (Dean) St. George; Chris (Katrina) Mansfield, Texas; 20 Grandchildren; 52 Great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Karen) Durrant Salt Lake and sister-in-law Gwen (Mac) Durrant California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and son Lee James Ovard. Brother Mac Durrant, Jay Durrant, Sister Carol Carter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Henefer Ward Chapel. Family and friends may call at the Henefer Church on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm and on Monday morning from 9:45-10:45 am prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Henefer Cemetery.
