Listen to Obituary

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Judy Ann Brown, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at age 80 in Huntington Beach, California. Born in Santa Rosa, California, on October 14, 1945, Judy played her way through life.

After graduating from Bellflower High School in 1964, Judy began her career in the finance department of McDonnell Douglas. Judy had two sons, and after her marriage, she left her job for a career that allowed her to be home with them. Ultimately, Judy helped raise many kids through her daycare, which she ran for 30+ years.

Despite several struggles with her health over the years, including cancer and dementia, Judy loved to sing, dance, and play her favorite music loudly. If she wasn’t singing, Judy was laughing and could always be found chatting, playing games, telling stories, or hosting get-togethers. Judy was an avid reader, loved visiting the temple, and especially enjoyed her callings in Relief Society and social committees. She was a faithful daughter of God and resides with him in peace.

Judy is survived by her two brothers, Gary and Dennis; her two sons, Marc and Rodney, and their wives, Jenn and Michele. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Laura, Kylee, Austin, Marielle, Jarrett, Kyra, Gabe, and Kendall; and three great-grandchildren: Lux, Florence, and Axford.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Hoytsville Cemetery.
