Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez was born on October 17, 1992, to Remigio and Herlinda Rodriguez. He was a beloved eldest son, brother, and friend. He unexpectedly passed on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in his home.
Jose was born in Utah and later spent his first 5 years of life in Llano Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico. Here he found his love for spicy food, the outdoors, and Coke-a-Cola. He was a true blessing to his parents as their firstborn. He was a joyous, energetic, and playful child. He was always running around and finding something to play with. Within a year, Jose’s first sibling, Anayeli, was born. He loved her so much that when he could walk, he tried to get her out of the crib to play.
At age 7, Jose became an older brother once more to his brother Eduardo. Within the next 3 years, his other siblings, Efren and Susana, were born. As a brother, he was always looking to make us laugh with his silly jokes, stories, and sayings. He was immensely supportive of our paths in life and was the first to cheer us on. At the drop of a hat, he would do anything for anyone that he thought of as family. He was fiercely loyal and giving to those he loved.
Jose graduated from North Summit High School in 2012 and continued to work hard in his career as a heavy equipment operator. At every work site, Jose was a dedicated employee who enjoyed teaching others and doing exceptional work. Jose loved experiencing new places and is one of the reasons he enjoyed his line of work.
Outside of his career, Jose loved being out in nature, whether that be fishing, camping, or hiking. He was always accompanied by his loyal pets, Bernie and Frankie, on
these journeys. Not only did he enjoy big adventures, he also enjoyed the simplicity of life. He was satisfied with a good meal and conversation or a big plate of Lays with hot sauce and a good TV show.
We ask that everybody remembers the spirited person he was: someone who was always laughing, never judged others, thrived in finding connection to people, and loved with all his heart.
