Jolene May Rich Price passed away at 96 after living a good long life on September 15th, 2025. She was born to Clarence Edgar Rich and Martha May Dickson Rich on September 1, 1929. She was greeted by five big brothers and one big sister who protected and spoiled her to the extent that her nickname was Queenie. She grew up in Richville on her family’s farm and attended school in Morgan. In school, she formed a friendship with a group of girls, the Gang, that stayed close for their entire lives. This is the kind of friendship and loyalty she showed throughout her whole life.

In high school she met Charles Wayne Price and they were both smitten. They married on June 15th, 1949. They had many adventures together while raising their five children.

Family vacations were always a good time as well as gardening together. She could snap beans at a record pace and filled the family pantry with bottled vegetables, salsa, pickles and fruit to last until the next season. She and Charles taught their children the value and joy of working hard and accomplishing good things.

She traveled with Charles to the church pageants for 17 summers. They loved these trips across the country and made friends and shared the gospel everywhere they went. Their family often joined them at the different locations and they shared their love of these special places.Together they served missions in the Ogden inner city mission, as temple workers and in the Macon Georgia Mission. Serving was what Jolene did best.

Jolene welcomed not just her family but friends and everyone into her home and was not satisfied until she could feed you something. You often went home carrying a plate of cookies or jar of peaches for later. She was known for her amazing whole wheat bread, rolls and pies. Her pie crust was the flakiest, most tender crust you will ever find. She learned that skill and many others from her mother and passed these on to her children. Her Rich heritage was important to her and she enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was quite a lady and never left home without her lipstick.

Nothing was more important to Jolene than family. She taught her children to love and serve others and doted on her grandkids and great grandkids. She was always so happy to see them and supported them in all their efforts. She always made sure they knew how much she loved them and how proud she was of them.

Jolene served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she showed her love for her Savior by serving and loving others. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and faith in His plan of salvation.

She was greeted in heaven by Charles and many, many others who she missed dearly. She has left her legacy in her five children, Peggy (David) Peterson, Nancy (Kevin) Ovard, Wayne (Denise) Price, Paul (Kathy) Price, Kathleen (Brian) Speir and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the good people at The Family Tree for their loving and tender care and for the good people at Quality Hospice. You made a difference.
