Jolean Sloan

May 31, 1940 — August 20, 2013

Jolean Everett Sloan, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away August 20, 2013 after a valiant fight with cancer.

Jolean was born May 31, 1940 in Salt Lake City, UT to Margret Workman and Clyde Eugene Everett. Jolean graduated from Granite High School in 1958. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She married her eternal sweetheart Richard Allen Sloan in the Salt Lake Temple on June 5, 1958. She held many church callings, most of all she enjoyed serving in the Ogden Temple with her husband as a temple worker. Her hobbies include: crocheting, needle work, camping and snowmobiling.

She is survived by her children: Rick (Pam) Sloan, David (Kitty) Sloan, Deanna (Layne) Tilby, Dean (Angie) Sloan, Jim (Becky) Sloan, Brian (Christa) Sloan, Miles (Kelley) Sloan, Theresa (Chad) Spencer, Alan (Alyson) Sloan, 36 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, brothers: Doug (Bonnie) Everett, Gordon (Carolyn) Everett, Larry (Kozann) Everett. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and her parents.

Viewings will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Clinton Utah Chapel 1708 W 800 N Clinton UT and on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Milton Ward Chapel 1255 N Morgan Valley Dr. Morgan UT prior to funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Mountain Green Cemetery.

Our family would like to express our love and gratitude to lifelong friends Harold and Marco Orton, her many other close friends and Dr. Vincent Hansen and his loving staff.
