John Harames

MORGAN - John S Harames, Sr, 70, passed away from natural causes on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

John was born on January 12, 1943 in Ogden, UT to Spiro J and Marion B Harames. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1961. From 1962 to 1981 he was married to DeAnn Rock. They made their home in Morgan and together they had three children; Geni, John, and Geri. In 1985 he married Sharlee Workman. They lived in North Ogden and Mesquite, NV and were married until 2001. In recent years, John has re-connected with both DeAnn and Sharlee and they have remained good friends.

John began his work career with Del Monte and Ideal Cement. Following his employment there, he was hired at HAFB where he worked until his retirement in 1998. He also moonlighted at the Galleon.

He was an avid trap shooter and won many awards over the years. He also loved hunting, camping, motorcycles and watching his grandkids' sporting activities.

He is survived by three children, Geni (Blake) Rowser, John Harames, and Geri Harames, one sister, Wendy(Frank) Ninalga and one step brother, Douglas Bradshaw, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by four step children, nine step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hemmersmeier, the staff at Family Tree, Mt Ogden, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and Access Hospice.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 am. After the graveside service there will a light luncheon at the Search and Rescue Building, followed by an honorary trap shoot at the Morgan Trap Range.
