Joe Harris

On a beautiful clear morning, Joseph took his final flight.

Joseph Doug Harris, 32, died Friday, June 1, 2007, doing what he loved to do most, flying.

Joseph was born July 31, 1974, the son of Doug and Annette Little Harris. He graduated from Morgan High School May 1992.

On May 7, 1993 Joe married Rayne Eddington. They later divorced but remained the best of friends. They were blessed with two children; Riley and Jake.

On June 25, 2005, Joe married the love of his life, Amy Bill.

At the age of two, Joseph took his first airplane ride and from that moment on he was hooked. Flying was his passion. He received his private pilot license in July, 1995 and went on to earn his Instrument, Commercial and Multi engine licenses. His life dream was to fly and make a living at the same time. He was able to fulfill that dream when he was hired as a pilot for the Department of Agriculture. He also had towed gliders for Morgan Valley Soaring and also flew the Great Salt Lake as a spotter for brine shrimp. He was highly respected in the flying community.

Joseph had a zest for life. When he set his mind to do something, he never gave up until he accomplished it. His wife, his children and his family meant everything to him. His Grandpa Joe was his hero and they spent many, many hours exchanging flying stories. He liked to go trap shooting with Glen, hunting, boating, 4-wheeling and camping with his family at the "Gorge" He loved growing a vegetable garden and also had a special touch when it came to growing African Violets.

Joe is survived by his wife Amy, his two son's Riley Joe and Jacob David "Jake" and his step daughter Shyley Comer. His parents, Doug and Annette of Mountain Green and his brother Jeremy Frank (Arla) of Hooper. Grand-parents Joseph L and Jeanne Harris of Washington Terrace and Edna Little of Morgan.
