Harding Hackney

Harding Roosevelt Hackney MTN. GREEN a�" Harding Roosevelt Hackney returned to his Heavenly Father after a long illness. He was born on July 23, 1924 to Sterling and Hattie Hackney in Sharp County Arkansas.

He married his former wife in 1944 and had a son. They were later divorced.

Harding enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and was discharged in 1947. He married Betty Grotte in Minnesota in 1950. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.

He worked for Koch Drilling Co. in Evanston, Wyo. Then moved to Mtn. Green UT in 1980 and started his business "Mtn. Green Asphalt." He retired in 1994.

He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Linda (Mark) Duncan, two sisters: Inez Hathaway and Rexcine Stewert, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and son Gary. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Highlands church in Mtn. Green. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment will be at the Mtn. Green Cemetery.
