Grant Paskett

Grant Reiser Paskett, age 94, passed away on March 4, 2012 at The FamilyTree at Morgan, Utah. He was born May 28, 1917 in Henefer, Utah to Howard Philip and Marguerite Reiser Paskett.

A lifetime resident of Henefer, Grant served as the Mayor, and in other civic positions. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving as a Bishop, a High Council Member a Temple Worker, and in many other callings.

He married his devoted sweetheart, Artel Eddington, on June 27, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Grant retired after 35+ years working for the Utah Department of Transportation.

He had a lifetime interest in agriculture, primarily sheep. Grant loved the outdoors and spent many years along with his wife living in a tent or sheep camp as part of his work in the family sheep business. He would always sing "The Indian Love Call" to Artel as he would return to camp in the evening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, two sons Michael E. (Connie) of Smithfield, Utah and Philip G. (Earleen) of Henefer, Utah, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four Indian Placement Children.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, March 8, at the Henefer LDS Church. A viewing will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the Henefer Church, and one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Henefer Town Cemetery.
