Gloria was born on September 7, 1936 in Logan Utah to Lewis Bingham and Ada Luella Kofoed Bingham. She passed away on July 1, 2026. She spent her childhood years in various places, but mostly in northern California. Gloria graduated from West High in Dayton.

She married her best friend, Elton L. Wood on April 14, 1955 in Elko, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of 5 children.

Gloria was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She showed her love for her Savior in the way she loved and served others throughout her life. Her strong faith was an example of many. She served in different positions in the church, including teaching Sunbeams for many years. She loved the Temple and served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for 8 years.

Gloria loved children and taught speech therapy in the Morgan Schools for many years. There she helped many children and influenced numerous lives. She also worked for a time doing home-health care. Gloria loved to serve others and was always a bright spot in the lives of all who knew her. She was loved by her family, neighbors, and friends. She loved to visit and to play games and enjoyed many hours doing so.

Gloria loved to volunteer at the Morgan Senior Center. She volunteered so much that they ended up hiring her. She was a great help there and enjoyed her time there until her passing.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband and 2 daughters, Sandra and Cindy. She is survived by her children; Randy (Zana), Rick (Debbie), and Brenda (Juan) Garnica. She has 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Wednesday July 8, 2026 at Walker Mortuary (45 W 200 N, Morgan, UT 84050) from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Washington Heights Memorial Park (4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84403).
