Our beloved Gail passed unexpectedly in his yard doing things he enjoyed at the age of 86. Dad is now reunited with the love of his life Marcile. Gail was born August 2, 1939, to Phillip and Lola Gorder, and was raised in the town of Morgan on a small farm. He was the oldest of 3 siblings, Gary, Dee, and Cuma. He graduated from Morgan High school in 1958. Gail married Pauline on Sept 9, 1960 and started his family having Mike, Wendy and Suzanne, later divorcing. He was then introduced to the love of his life Marcile and was married on January 26, 1976, and had Kelly and Janet.
Gail made his living as a truck driver, with JC Bangerters and Sons for 35 years. And after that he took up many odd end jobs just to keep him busy, ending with driving dump truck for Rees’s. Gail always loved to be outside, riding horses, camping, hunting and farming. He was a hard worker on the family farm, and with every job or task that he was given. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, supporting all his grandchildren in their events and watching his old western movies over and over again.
Gail and Marcile were sealed on July 16, 2024 in the Ogden temple. He is survived by his 5 children Mike (Tracy) Gorder, Wendy (Lynn) Gualt, Suzanne Weiss, Kelly (Brian) Jamieson, Janet (Austin) LaRue, along with many grand and great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter on the way.
Gail was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marcile, his brother Gary, two grandsons Kevin and Eddie, and his son in law Lynn.
We want to thank Glen and Carol Mecham and all of his many neighbors and friends who have helped with dad over the years.
