Faye Donna Little

April 1, 1927 — July 11, 2015

Faye Donna Mecham Little born April 1, 1927, died July 10, 2015 of illness incident to age.  She was 88.  She is survived by her husband Keith Rawle Little, 93, her 2 children, Sue (Steve) Porter, and Jeffrey (Melody) Little.  Eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister.

Faye Donna was the youngest child of 7 born in Milton to Lyman and Clara Belle (Rose) Mecham.  Faye Donna was a daddy’s girl and accompanied her dad everywhere. Her brother Chester drowned in a ditch as a baby, but her remaining 4 brothers both adored and defended her and teased and tormented her daily.

She was a wonderful cook and was especially known for her homemade rolls, hand dipped chocolates, and puff pastry.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.

The Littles always had a large garden which provided vegetables they shared with friends and family.  The bottled green beans were a family favorite.

Faye Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in all of the auxiliaries.  She mostly enjoyed the callings in which she and Keith served together.  She typed the Patriarchal Blessings given by Patriarch Little and treasured their time working side-by-side in the Sealing Department of the Ogden LDS Temple.  She had wonderful memories and treasured friends from her temple service.

She loved her community and served for 32 years as Assistant Secretary of the Morgan County Fair Board.  She was honored when she and Keith were selected to be the Grand Marshalls for the Morgan County Parade in 1992.  They were also honored as Grand Marshals for the Fourth of July parade in 2013.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Cari Lot who has lovingly cared for Faye Donna for the last year.  They are especially grateful for life-long friends and neighbors, Rod and Barbara Spencer for their love and support.  Thanks also to Dave Christiansen, Cory, Marissa, Belinda, and the entire staff at Inspiration Hospice for their kind support and attention these last few months.

Her services will be held at the Morgan Stake Center, Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Milton Cemetery in the Mecham family plot.  Family and friends may call at the Walker Mortuary on Tuesday, July 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Morgan Stake Center.
