Emajean Hansen

December 16, 1918 — January 15, 2013

Emajean Allen Hansen passed away peacefully the morning of January 15, 2013. She was born December 16, 1918 in Logan, Utah to Reuben Franklin Allen and Agnes Matilda Pope. She married Wallace Hopkin Hansen on September 5, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She worked at the LDS church offices, Utah Woolen Mills and the Ogden Arsenal. Emajean was a strong-willed lady who enjoyed writing poems, reading, sewing and being with her family. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, serving in various church callings and as a stake missionary in Salt Lake City. The family wishes to thank the staff at Our House Assisted Living Center and Access Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by her children, Merna (Greg) West, Janet (Ron) Duggar, Allen (Robin) Hansen, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the LDS Midvale 4th Ward, 7825 South Olympus (220 West), from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment at the Sandy City Cemetery
