Elaine Judd

Elaine North Judd, 91, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015.

She was born July 8, 1924 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin to Jule B. North and Edith Lundeen.  Her early years were spent in Wisconsin and Michigan.  Elaine became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while living in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1944.  Elaine served as a missionary in the Southern States Mission in 1946.  On August 26, 1955 she married Kenneth F. Judd in the Salt Lake Temple.  During their 60 years together on earth she was always an active member of the church serving with dedication and compassion in many callings.  With her husband she served in the England Bristol Mission (1992 – 1993) and in the West Virginia Charleston Mission (1995 – 1996). She also served many years in the Ogden Temple.

Music was an important part of her life. At one time she was a member of the Mormon Choir of Southern California. She shared her love of music with her family as they spent many hours gathered around the piano with her, singing and laughing together. She delighted in her involvement with any musical events, especially directing and singing in choirs.

Elaine is survived by her husband Kenneth F. Judd, children Matthew K. (Laurette) Judd, Karin (Jim) Larsen, Lane N. Judd, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grand children.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Mountain Green Ward, 5378 W Old Hwy Rd, in Mountain Green, Utah.  The family will meet with friends Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at the Colonial Springs Ward, 2360 N 600 W Harrisville, Utah and at 11:45am prior to the Funeral in Mountain Green.  Interment will be in the Mountain Green Cemetery.
