Eillene Richins

February 3, 1928 — June 28, 2013

Eillene Wilde Richins, 85, peacefully returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven June 28, 2013, at her daughters home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born to Charles Ernest Wilde and Della Nix on February 3, 1928 in Coalville, Utah. She was the youngest of 8 children.

On December 1, 1948, Eillene married her sweetheart Delbert Calderwood Richins in the Salt Lake Temple. They were sealed together for time and all eternity by Spencer W. Kimball. Eillene and Delbert were blessed to be the parents of six children, 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Eillene lived a life devoted to her faith. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she considered it a great honor to serve a mission with her husband to the California San Jose Mission in 1984 and 1985. She also served in the Ogden Temple for many years. Eillene was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Eillene's life was marked by her love for the gospel and her family. She had a tender and loving relationship with her husband throughout their lives and never did a day go by without them taking each other by the hand. We are thankful they can hold hands once more. Her influence on those around her rose from her moments of quiet strength. She will be missed dearly.

Eillene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, siblings and daughter-in-law, Lori Jensen Richins.

She is survived by her brother Walden Wilde; her children Janet (Steven) Twiss, Gregory (Nedra) Richins, Nedra (Warren) Hunsaker, Gary (Jamie) Richins, Bart (Cindy) Richins, Ryan (Rachelle) Richins, 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Henefer LDS Church. A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Henefer Cemetery.
