Doug Crouch

April 4, 1947 — November 4, 2011

Doug passed away unexpectedly November 4, 2011 of cardiac and respiratory problems at a hospital in Morelia, Mexico, near the city he called his home, Patzcuaro, Mexico with his sisters by his side. Anyone that knew Doug knew he was an intelligent, eccentric free spirit who loved to travel and hated to be tied down. He had friends and acquaintances all over the world and definitely lived life on his own terms. He moved to Patzcuaro, Mexico about 2 years ago and fell in love with the city, the people and everything about the simple lifestyle he enjoyed there. He is now flying high, no longer tied to a body that was failing him and surely enjoying new adventures every day.

Doug was born April 4, 1947 to Joye Heiner and Douglas M. (Mac) Crouch and spent most of his early life growing up in Morgan. He went to school in Morgan, served in the Navy and enjoyed jobs in many different fields and states, moving around to New York, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada and Mexico just to name a few.

He had a number of relationships over the years, but the two special loves of his life were Sandra Gonzales and Ann (Lawanna) Stewart. He married Sandra and together they had two sons, Jeremy Crouch (Ogden) and Christopher Crouch (Salt Lake). They were later divorced. When he married Ann, he gained a daughter, Sarah Kronberg (Las Vegas). Doug and Ann divorced as well. He leaves behind his two sons, Christopher and Jeremy, his step-daughter, Sarah and seven grandchildren. His siblings, younger brother Scott Crouch of Roy and his sisters Beverly O'Connor of Ogden and Wendy Barber (Kevin) of Morgan as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his Patzcuaro family: Carmen, Gustavo, Gloria and Andy.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his grandparents, including a very special grandmother, Daisy Crouch who he traveled with quite extensively as a young boy and teen, and his very special canine companion, Sancho. He and Sancho were inseparable 'road buddies' for the last few years and Doug was heartbroken when Sancho passed away in Mexico a while ago.
