Donald Mathews

MORGAN-Donald Lee Mathews was born on November 8, 1953 to the parents of George Clark and Marcelene Lott Mathews in Cedar City, UT. He grew up in Orem, Utah and graduated from Orem High School. Don attended BYU and served an LDS mission to Mexico, Mexico City. He married his true love, Cheri Lyn Bell on April 29, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple. Don passed away on November 23, 2012 due to heart failure.

Don was at heart a family man. His job required frequent travel, but Don always came home and spent his free time with family. Don loved to watch his grandkids play and couldn't wait until the next time they got together. Don was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings. Don was also on the Morgan County Council, and enjoyed his time there.

Don will be greatly missed by his wife, Cheri, sons; Ryan (Jennifer), Nathaniel (Ammber), Tyson; daughters; Melanie (Daren) Francis and Melissa (Joshua) Hadley. He will also be missed by his greatest joys, his grandkids: Kaden, Broc, Spencer, Trace, Cole, Tegan, Lincoln, Libby, Bridger, Kendal and Sadie. He is also survived by his mother, Marcelene, sisters; Diane and Patricia and brothers; Howard and Jeffrey. He was preceded in death by his father, Clark, and brother Delbert. Don's faithful dog Chandler will be lost without him. We love you Dad and Papa.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing Tuesday, November 27 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday before the services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Both viewings and funeral will be held at the LDS stake center in Morgan located at 355 N. 700 E. in Morgan, UT.

Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.
