Clay Don Dillree
(March 30, 1961-November 21, 2021)
Clay Don Dillree, 60 years old, passed away on November 21, 2021.
He was born to Don and Uberta (Butch) Dillree in Ogden, Utah on March 30, 1961. He was the oldest of two children. Clay grew up in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School, class of 1979.
He enjoyed working on the family fur farm, Dillree Fur, with his mom and dad where they raised mink and fox. He was close with his dad and spent a lot of time out fishing, hunting, and working with him and he spent a lot of time with his little sister, Cara checking traps and riding the snow mobile. He grew up spending time helping his grandparents Willard and Cora Dillree at the Kozy Café in Echo and later in life; ran the café with his wife Tammi for a time.
He married Fawnete Mickelsen in January 1980 and they had one daughter, Trinity Lynn. They later divorced. He married TammiJo Bird on December 17, 1993 and they have 4 children together, TawneeJo, Kelly Don, Kolton Dalyn, and Karson Clay.
Clay and Tammi have spent their lives working together in the mink, raising their kids, and taking care of one another. They rarely spent time apart when they weren’t working and he wished to travel and take her to see all the things he had seen that she hadn’t yet.
Clay loves his kids! He has taught each of his kids some aspect of working in the mink; and has spent time fishing and hunting with each of them. Even when life was hard, he could find a way to have fun or get a smile out of you. He thought the world of his grandkids and especially loved when he would get to spend time with them. He was always amazed by the things they would do and never seemed to miss a chance to brag about something they had accomplished. Sometimes he cheered them on from afar, but they were some of his favorite people.
Clay had many adventures over the years and a few of them might even be true!
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years TammiJo; children Trinity (Curtis) Smith, Tawnee (Robert) Wadman, Kelly (Sierra) Dillree, Kolton, and Karson; and 7 grandchildren; his sister Cara (Tony) Henderson; nephew Kacey (Es) Comer; nephew Kolby Tyteca; as well as his mother in-law Patricia Bird, an Uncle Smokey (Barbara) Dillree and Aunt Leah (Tommy) Judd. He was preceded in death by his parents Don & Butch Dillree, father in-law Steve Bird, niece Camie Comer, and his good friend and brother in-law Kelly Comer
