Clarence Francis

November 8, 1919 — April 2, 2013

Morgan - Clarence George "Tic" Francis, 93, died on April 2, 2013.

He was born Nov. 8, 1919 in Morgan, Utah to William Weisbrodt and Cecilia Knight Francis, but celebrated his birthday on Dec. 7. He married Elna Wright on January 24, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Clarence served his country in the US Army Air Corp in World War II as a mechanic in the European and African fronts and served with honor. He was proud of this service and was always quick with his war stories.

He was a talented craftsman and could fix or build anything; he built 5 homes in Morgan. Clarence was a master woodworker that shared numerous artistic pieces with those who walked into his loving home. He was an outdoors man that spent many hours camping and fishing and spent many weeks enjoying St. George with his friends. He was a gifted green thumb that took pride in his beautiful lawn and abundant garden. Most of all, he always could pull and take a good joke or prank.

Clarence is survived by his children Brad (Maralee) Francis, Marsha Toyn, Todd (Audrey) Francis, and Jill (Blaine) Fackrell. He has 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by his sisters Thelma Bond, Beverly Bond, and Barbara Gustaveson and sister-in-law Maye Francis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Carl and Rulon, sisters Leah, Vera, and Grace and son-in-law Pat Toyn.
