Carolyn B Giles, 84, died on Friday, November 26, 2021, at her home in Farmington, Utah of Uterine Cancer.

She was born April 28, 1937, in Ogden, a daughter of Helen and Robert Barker.

She was reared and educated in Morgan, Utah and attended the University of Utah.

She met Leo Bryant Giles in High School in Morgan and they married in Ogden in 1958. They lived in many areas across the country and settled in Mountain Green where they spent many blissful years together. He died in June, 2007.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings that include Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society President, Family History Center and served in Young Women and Primary.  Recently she served as a Church-service missionary at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

She was dedicated to service and volunteered at Festival of Trees in many capacities, served on the board of American Cancer Association and volunteered her time at McKay Dee Hospital.

Carolyn loved golfing and played in a league at the Davis Park Golf Club with all her friends until her death.  She enjoyed traveling across the globe and playing cards, but most of all she loved spending time with friends and family.

Surviving is her daughter, Lori Smith (Greg) and son Mitch Giles (Lisa); seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Alex Michael Smith and sister Jo Ann Reynolds.

Graveside services will be held at Mountain Green Cemetery, 5055 W. Old Highway Road, Morgan, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, American Cancer Society, or your favorite charity.
