Carol Carter

Carol Elaine Durrant Carter, eighty-one years old passed away on March 29, 2011 at her home in Morgan, Utah.

Carol was born in Morgan, Utah on September 8, 1929 to Leland Durrant and Margaret Celeste Dearden Durrant.

She married Derrald Keith Carter on March 8 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21. 1959.

She was raised in Morgan City and educated in the Morgan County schools. She attended Weber College in Ogden, Utah from 1948-1949. She was an active member of the Morgan 12th ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served faithfully in various church callings to which the Lord called her. She was a great example to her family and all who knew her. Carol had a strong testimony of her Savior and instilled that in her children.

Carol is survived by her husband and closest friend. She is also survived by 6 sons and 3 daughters. Richard (Vickie) Carter, Kimberly, ID, Ray (Malinda) Carter, Morgan UT, Scott Carter , Sunset, UT, Carolyn (Jim) Buckheit, Houston, TX, Don (Jan) Carter, West Weber, UT, Neil (Nancy) Carter, Roy, UT, Lance (Sally) Carter, Clinton, UT, Ann Carter, North Ogden UT, Marie Carter, North Ogden UT. 20 grandchildren and 13 great grand children. She is also survived by one brother Jerry (Karen) Durrant, Sandy UT, and one sister Kathleen Ovard of Henefer UT. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Celeste, brothers Mac and Jay.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Rock Church Morgan 12th Ward Chapel, 10 W. Young Street Morgan, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 W. 200 N. Morgan UT and Friday April 1, 20011 from 9:45 a�" 10:45 a.m. at the Morgan 12th LDS Ward, 10 W. Young Street Morgan, UT.

Mom, you will be greatly missed along with your Jumbo Raisin Cookies.
