Bryan Douglas Phipps returned home to his Heavenly Father on December 30th, 2025 after battling cancer for 6 years. He was born on August 1st, 1961 to Joen Eagar and Albert Curtis Phipps. He was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah where he enjoyed living in the hills, riding bikes, motorcycles, playing with hot wheels, model trains, and drums. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1980.
Bryan married Tamera (Tami) Warner Phipps in 1992 and together they raised 3 children, Austin, Sladen and Brittany. Austin brought Shay into our lives and together they had Talon and Tylee. He was an amazing and fun-loving grandpa to them.
Bryan had an infectious smile and was always happy to serve anyone who was in need. He had a love for vehicles. He began restoring them when he was in high school with his dad and later in life with his boys. He enjoyed attending car shows with his family.
His favorite place to be, was anywhere on a lake in his boat. He enjoyed many family trips which were full of happy memories, jeeping in Moab, Palisades Reservoir, Flaming Gorge, the Sawtooths, Lake Powell and many more. He loved music, science, Sci-Fi movies, skiing and his dog Poppy.
Bryan was a skilled carpenter and general contractor for Phipps Construction, Service Master and Building Transitions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Tamera Warner Phipps and their 3 children, Austin (Shay) Phipps, Sladen Phipps and Brittany Phipps. As well as his 2 grandchildren Talon and Tylee Phipps. He is also survived by his father Albert Curtis Phipps and his siblings, Steve (Marie) Phipps, LeAnn Phipps and Cherie (Kenton) Morgan. Also, he is survived by his father and mother-in-law Rudger and Diane Warner, Many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Joen Eagar Phipps, his grandparents and sister-in-law Toni Warner.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Mckay-Dee Hospital and to the Utah cancer specialist Start program for their kindness and care during his cancer journey. Bryan was devoted to and loved by his friends, family, scouts and the Rose Hill Ward.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Rose Hill Ward Chapel (4150 W Old Hwy Rd, Mountain Green, UT) at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held Friday January 2, 2026 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the services from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Rose Hill Ward Church. Interment will take place at the Peterson Cemetery.
