Betty Palmer

MORGAN a�" Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Betty Lorene Campbell Palmer, died Feb. 23, 2014 surrounded by her family, she was 84.

She was born in S.L.C., Utah on Dec. 7, 1929 to Arnold Richard Campbell and Elvera Lorene Johnson Campbell. She had one sibling, Richard Eugene Campbell.

Betty was educated in the Jordan School District and after she enrolled in the L.D.S. Business College where she met her husband of 64 years, Jack Lamarr Palmer. They were married on Oct. 10, 1949. They were later sealed in the Ogden L.D.S. Temple on Nov. 21, 1975.

Betty worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1989. She has lived in Morgan, Utah for the last 50 years. She enjoyed camping and fishing, especially salmon fishing with her friends and family on the Oregon and Washington Coast. She was an active member of the L.D.S. Church, served three full-time missions for the church and served in the Ogden Temple for eight years.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jack Lamarr Palmer; five children: Connie (Curtis) Worden, of Morgan; Terry (Annette) Palmer, of Clearfield; Kathie (Lemual) Walters, of Odessa, Texas; Julie (Matthew) Thomson, of Evanston, Wyoming; and Steve (Laurie) Palmer, of Rigby, Idaho. Betty has 28 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one granddaughter and one grandson.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice for Utah and the many helping hands that helped care for Betty.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, at 11 a.m. at the Milton Church in Morgan (1255 N. Morgan Valley Drive). A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment will be held at the Milton Cemetery.
