On September 20, 2012, Anne Laney Gerhart passed away surrounded by her family.

Anne was born April 8, 1943 in El Paso, Texas. She became a traveler at a young age, as her family moved often because of her father's career in the Air Force. Before the birth of her first child, Anne taught third grade in Kearns and in Spanish Fork. In Colorado, she became a certified florist and owned her own business. She was an active member of the LDS church and an accomplished organist. She served as ward organist in nearly every ward she lived.
