Alice Palmer

Alice Faye Palmer, born November 6, 1940 to hardworking parents Alice Viola Whittier and Marion R. Mecham in Ogden, Utah.  She lived in Morgan for her entire life, with an exception to a few years spent in San Diego.

Faye was married to George Cumming and were the parents to daughter Kerry Lynn; they were later divorced.  She was later married to Calvin Panter and were the parents to daughters Melanie Gaye and Tawnya Leigh; they were later divorced.

As a member of the LDS church she was involved with the youth for most of her life serving in the Primary, Young Women’s as well as in the Relief Society.  She was dedicated and loved helping with the troubled youth.  She worked with the youth for 17 years at MOWEDA and 5 years at Mill Creek before moving to Department of Workforce Services, where she continued to help the homeless and those receiving public assistance helping them to become self-sufficient to support themselves and their families.

She is survived by her three daughters, Kerry (Chuck) Collett, Melanie (Auggie) Rose and Tawnya (Jerry) Thompson; 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her brothers Loel Mecham, Keith Mecham and her sisters Eva McFarland and Virginia Creager as well as her parents.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 28th at the Milton Church (1255 N Morgan Valley Dr) in Morgan from 6 to 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29th at 11 am at the Milton Church with a viewing before from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  Interment will be held at the Milton Cemetery.
