Adam Wykes Hunt of Evanston, Wyoming crossed over on February 16, 2026 in Evanston.
Born to Kenneth Raymond Hunt Jr and Carol Maud Nelson on September 16, 1974, Adam was the youngest of three kids. Throughout school he was always the biggest goofball in the room and never failed to make people laugh. With all the laughter and joy he created, trouble was never far behind and he kept his parents’ hands full. He represented Morgan High School in football, basketball and, following in his father’s footsteps, baseball. Boy did he have a love for the diamond, just like Ken. During high school (1991) he met his beloved wife Michelle (Bird) Hunt and they became fast friends. He graduated from Morgan High class of 1992.
After beginning dating in 1993 Adam and Michelle were married on January, 26 1996. On July 11, 2000 they were blessed with the arrival of their daughter Jocelynn Taylor Hunt. Adam always said, “That was the day that the biggest miracle and the greatest lesson I could ever imagine happened.”
Though his size was intimidating to many, his heart of gold was even larger and if you really knew him, you knew that he was a big teddy bear. But you got to choose which bear you got, the teddy bear or the grizzly! Adam was the kindest man, a rare gentleman that’s hard to find and a safe space for everyone, no matter what they were going through.
While Adam’s greatest loves were his girls, he loved his Harley, a good bit of fishing and a camping trip with his family. Especially to Yellow Stone! His parents started the tradition of taking a trip there every year, the first time being when he was just a baby. He carried on this tradition with his own family as well, right up to his passing. Some of his most special times were found during his self named ‘wind therapy’ on the back of that Harley with Josie or Michelle.
Adam worked in the mental health field for a time and changed so many lives, especially for the youth. But his influence was not limited to just that, he made a profound impact on every life he touched, no matter how briefly. He was always the favorite uncle because at heart he was just a giant kid!
To Michelle, Adam was her best friend, her ride or die and the love of her life, a true soulmate. For Josie, he was her entire world, and she was his. He taught Josie what it means to love fiercely and left her with some high standards as a father.
Adam is survived by his wife Michelle Hunt (Evanston) and his daughter Jocelynn Hunt (Heber). His brothers Kenneth (Lisa) Hunt (Fruit Heights) and Brady (Kipp) Trussell (Morgan). And a sister, Jennifer (Todd) Peterson (Moab).
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ken and Carol, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Steven and Patricia Bird, as well as his cousin, two brothers in law, aunts, uncles and his grandparents.
A viewing for Adam will take place at Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Utah on February 21, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Adam’s desired services will follow directly after the viewing concludes. A Celebration of Life will take place this summer, details to come. A Last Ride for Adam will take place then followed by a party to celebrate his life.
