Linda Richins

August 21, 1958 — March 26, 2018

Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, educator, confidant, and friend, Linda Kay Carter Richins believed in living life to the fullest.  She passed away on March 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in Kauai, Hawaii.  Linda always saw the best in everyone and truly loved unconditionally.  She dedicated her life to education and was a self-proclaimed lifelong student.  She received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah, a Master’s degree in Psychology from Utah State University and an additional Master’s degree from Utah State in Education Administration.  She was a natural born leader who loved to dance, sing, and cuddle with her Yorkies, but most of all she loved her family.  She was always the life of the party and will be remembered for her amazing smile and her ability to brighten any room she entered.  Linda truly left an impression on every life she touched.  She made this world a better place.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Charles Carter, and her grandparents, Edith and Norman Coxon.  She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Eugene F. Richins, her son Eric Eugene Richins (Kouri) and her daughters Katie Lin Richins-Benson (Clint) and Amy Joan Richins (William).  She is also survived by her mother Joan Carter, her sister Lori Carter Anderson, and the lights of her life, her grandchildren—Carter Brock Richins, Ashton E. Richins, Weston Horace Richins, Madalin Richins Benson, and Baby Girl Benson (due in September).
