Glenda Sue Kitchin

April 30, 1947 — June 19, 2017

Glenda Sue Harris Kitchin, 70, born April 30, 1947 in Great Bend, Kansas, passed away with her loving husband, Wallace Kitchin, caring for her at her home in Morgan, Utah on Monday, June 19, 2017 of complications from Liver and Lung cancer.

She leaves her husband of 52 years, Wallace R. Kitchin; son, Troy Kitchin; his spouse, Julie; Troy’s son, Kolton; her daughter’s son, Keaton and daughter, Whitney and her sister, Linda Lee Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandee Leigh Kitchin; brother, Harley E. Harris; and her parents, Harley A. and Edith B. Harris.

Glenda Sue was a loving wife, protective sister and mother and loyal friend.  She always claimed her talent was showing off the talents of others.  Never one to be out front but working diligently to help others shine!  She was very strong willed, frugal, and feisty!  If she loved you, she loved you to the core of her being!

Sue was educated in Wyoming and graduated from Powell High School in Powell, Wyoming in 1965.  She married Wallace R. Kitchin on June 26, 1965 at the home of her parents in Williston, North Dakota.  Sue and Wally moved to Utah at that time.  They raised their two children in Bountiful, Layton and Morgan.

Sue worked two years at Hill Field Air Force Base and then worked for IRS in Ogden, Utah.  She retired from IRS in 2010 after 20 years.

Sue and Wally truck pulled with “Cheap Shot” for 25 years having a great time and making many great friends.  Sue and Wally bought a travel trailer after retirement and went fishing and camping, enjoying time with Troy, Julie and Kolton.

Sue and her sister Linda remained very close their entire lives.  They loved sharing their families with each other, with their children going back and forth as much as possible.  This resulted in their children growing up surrounded with love and laughter!

The family would like to thank Encompass Home Health and Hospice, Corey Blonquist and Mike Black.

In lieu of flowers, donate to a charity of your choice or the Lions Club, 375 East 100 South, Morgan, Utah 84050
