Darcy Peterson, 54, returned to a loving heavenly father September 12, 2019. Darcy was born September 10, 1965 in Ogden, UT to Jerry and Nedra Peterson. She grew up in Morgan, UT and graduated from Morgan High School. Darcy married Kerry Rollins on Jan 22, 1988. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jacee (Rhees). Darcy and Kerry were later divorced.
Darcy was devoted to her family and lived a life of charity and service. She was a fearless advocate for the underdog and a tireless supporter of the downtrodden. She focused on everyone but herself. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother and spending time with her two grandchildren, Riley and Charlie, who she cherished.
Darcy had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick smile and a great attitude. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and loved crafts and baking treats for her family and friends. She loved being a “Peterson” and was immensely proud of her family. She was fiercely loyal to her parents and siblings and her nieces and nephews. Moments spent with them were precious to her.
Darcy had many health challenges throughout her life and met each challenge with courage and determination. She defied all odds, squeezing every bit of life and energy from her body to share a little more joy and light with her loved ones. She never complained but remained valiant in her testimony of Jesus Christ, which strengthened with each passing year. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Darcy is survived by her daughter Jacee (Jeremy) Rhees, and her grandchildren Riley and Charlie. She is also survived by her parents, Jerry and Nedra Peterson and five siblings, Bryan (Dixie) Peterson, Daren (Sheri) Peterson, Julie (Dana) Russell, Becky (Jeff) Lucas, and Jason Peterson and many nieces and nephews.
