Beth Richins

COALVILLE, UT - Beth Bingham Richins, 99, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Beth was born on June 1, 1918 in Wilson Lane, Utah to Brigham Albert and Eva Viola Stratford Bingham. She grew up in Honeyville and attended Honeyville Schools and Box Elder High School. She later graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, UT with a bachelors degree in Home economics and elementary education. She taught 3rd grade in Brigham City for three years. Through Beth’s family agricultural ties, Beth met her eternal companion, Marvin D. Richins. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 25, 1944. They lived and raised their family in Coalville, Utah. Beth taught 3rd grade at North Summit Elementary for over 13 years.

Beth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She especially enjoyed her calling as librarian which she held for over 17 years. Beth was a wonderful homemaker and gardener. She was never idle with the numerous crafts, quilting, crocheting, knitting, canning, baking, and gardening. Beth’s true love and joy was her family.

Beth is survived by her sons and daughter: Royes (Darla); Lawrence (Cherie); Albert (Kathi); Steven; Blaine (Susan); Rozella (Anan Eldredge); Melvin (Margarita); 30 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Marilyn Bingham and Ilene Richins. She was proceeded in death by her husband Marvin; her parents; brothers: Albert, Earl, Fred, Clifford, Don, Wallace, Reed, Marriner, and Ralph; and one great-grandson, Carson.

Thanks to all those who helped at The Family Tree of Morgan and Comfortworx Hospice.

Family and friends may visit at the Coalville Stake Center Wednesday evening, July 5, from 6-8 pm and prior to services Thursday morning, July 6, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am.

Interment will be at the Coalville City Cemetery.
