Raymond McMillan

March 27, 1921 — October 19, 2017

Raymond D. McMillan at age 96 years old passed away October 19, 2017.

Raymond was born in Salt Lake City, UT on the March 27, 1921 to Movae Titcomb and William McMillan and was raised in Boneta, Duchesne County, UT.

On December 11, 1944, he married Ruby Meriwether in Salt Lake City, Utah.

His love for service began early as an aerial gunner and an engineer on the B-17 bombers for 31 missions over Europe where he accumulated over 250 combat hours.  With his exemplary service he was recognized with the Distinguished Flying Cross, three airman's metals, four major battle stars, aerial gunners wings, expert marksman with the pistol and many other recognitions.

Ray served on the Morgan County Fairboard for 10 years, and was part of the 4-H horse posse program. Ray and Ruby served together in the Ogden Temple.  He enjoyed his dogs and horses.

Raymond is survived by his children, Micheal (Ann) McMillan, Lynda (Max) Gines, Susan (Milan) Mecham, Mark (Melinda) McMillan, all of Morgan; a son-in-law, Dave Carver; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby; his daughter, Cyndy; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Raymond was thankful to be able to remain in Morgan County surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors in the community whom he loved very much.

We would like to extend a special appreciation to Family Tree Assisted Living for the extra care and compassion shown to Raymond and his family.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Milton/Stoddard Ward Chapel.  A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, UT and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.at the church.

Interment will be in the Milton Cemetery.
