Marcelene Mathews

Marcelene L. Mathews passed peacefully away July 17, 2015, in the early morning hours due to her advanced age.
She was a Daughter, Cheerleader, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Born in Joseph, Utah to Delbert and Ethel Dunn Lott. She had 5 brothers and sisters. Married George Clark Mathews May 17, 1946 in Boulder, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Clark and Marcelene had six children: Pat, Howard (Victoria), Diane (Denny), Don (Cheri), Jeff (Jane), and Delbert Clark; 13 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren.
She was a worker! She was still working at the age of 82. She held many jobs in the LDS Church –from teacher to Relief Society President.
She is survived by four children; one brother Glen Kay Lott and one sister Betty Salisberry.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 children: Don and Delbert; 1 son-in-law, Jan Smith; and 1 grandson Zachary Clark Mathews
Viewings will be between 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2015, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. The Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, held at the Burch Creek Stake House, 4955 Adams Ave., South Ogden. Final resting place will be at 4 p.m. in the Cedar City, Utah, Cemetery.
