Kenneth Worden
February 2, 1935 — August 1, 2015
Kenneth Vernon Worden (Swede) was born February 2, 1935 in Pelican Rapids, Ottertail Township, Minnesota to Vernon LeRoy Worden and Fredella Florence Mortenson. He passed away at home of natural causes on August 1, 2015.
He grew up in Morgan, Utah and graduated high school in 1953. He enlisted in the Army for 3 years and then joined the Air Force Reserves at Hill Air Force Base. He retired from Hill Field as a civilian and from the Reserves.
He had also been a member of the Morgan Search and Rescue and the State Search and Rescue.
He married Mary Lena Ackerson on March 30, 1963 and they divorced in November 1997. They remained good friends.
He is survived by 3 sons, Mark Vernon (Wife Stacy), Kenneth Lee (Wife Bea) and Von LeRoy (Wife Lindy). He also had 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.
He is survived by brothers Curtis and Robert. Sisters Jackie Hulet, Barbara Smith, Beverly Smith, Mary Gandee and Linda Owen.
He is preceded in death by both parents and his brother Richard.
A viewing will be held on Aug. 6, 2015 from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Morgan. A graveside service and military honors will follow at 4 p.m. at the South Morgan City Cemetery.
